The
Heritage Baptist Church family is known well throughout the River Region and
is committed to ministering to people of all ages. In addition to age group
ministry from birth to Senior Adult, Heritage has a strong presence in the
community through the Child Development Center, Upward Basketball League and
the Academy of Performing Arts.

Heritage
Heritage is known in the
community for its ministries to people throughout each season of their
lives. From being a Preschooler to being a Senior Adult, Heritage always has
just the events, programs and experiences for all walks of life that will
allow each person to grow toward spiritual maturity in an environment geared
toward their specific needs.
Child
Development Center
We are pleased to offer a ministry to families in
our community through full time childcare. We consider it a pleasure to serve
your family by providing the best care possible for your children while you must
be away from them.
The center is open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00
p.m. Our center is staffed by qualified, loving teachers who will not only care
for the physical needs of your child, but will also nurture the child in a
loving and caring environment. We provide a developmental program for infants
through three-year-olds. Four and five year olds will benefit from a
developmentally appropriate academic program as well.
Discipleship Ministry
The Discipleship Ministry at Heritage is about
connecting people to others and opportunities that will help them become more
like Christ. The connection happens each week through Sunday School and
LifeGroups as well as other times during the year through conferences, retreats
and other special events. The Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry and Singles
Ministry are also committed to meeting the specific needs of adults throughout
the year. We believe that the pursuit of every believer must be to become more
like Christ in character and conduct and we know that when adults become more
like Christ, their marriages, homes and relationships with others will reflect
that.
Sunday School happens one hour each Sunday
morning and is a time of Bible Study and fellowship. It is a beginning point for
any adult to connect to the life of the church by meeting other adults in the
class and building relationships with them. A variety of classes are offered to
meet the age or needs of any adult or couple.
LifeGroups are Bible study groups that meet on
Sunday and Wednesday nights. These groups meet for a series of weeks throughout
the year. They are designed for those adults who desire to make an investment in
group time and personal Bible study. Join us at the next LifeGroups Fair and see
which LifeGroup is for you!
We also believe that God’s plan for every
believer is to discover, develop and use their giftedness to live out God’s
purpose and ministry for their lives. The Discipleship Ministry equips adults as
they discover ways in which they can serve in and through the ministries at
Heritage. Each fall , every adult has an opportunity to commit to serve for the
first time or renew a commitment to serve through the Ministry Fair.
His Kidz
Ministry for Children
The Children’s Ministry of Heritage Baptist
Church exists to partner with families in leading children toward salvation
and into a meaningful and lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. From the
earliest preschool years, through the pivotal sixth grade year, each volunteer
leader delights in helping children know our wonderful heavenly Father and of
His great love for them.
Recreation Ministry
At Heritage we recognize the importance and
potential impact of Recreation. We believe Recreation can be a great tool
for building not just stronger bodies, but stronger relationships. It is the
ideal environment for growing in unity with other believers, and for sharing
our faith with others in a casual, non-threatening way. In addition Heritage
members and their guests have access to our weight room, walking track, and
basketball courts. From activities such as weightlifting, basketball, and
softball, our Rec. Field and Family Life Center are great venues to connect
and fellowship with others.
There are opportunities to play team sports in
softball and basketball, and individual sports such as golf. We also offer
fellowship activities for families through drive-in movies, picnics, outdoor
festivals and other outings.
Our goal is to use Recreation to encourage
people to develop as Jesus did — mentally, physically, spiritually, and
socially.
Senior Adult Ministry
J.O.Y. (Just
Older Youth) is the Heritage Baptist Church Senior Adult Group (ages 55+) who
are striving to please God in all that we do. Through Christian Fellowship,
ministry opportunities and trips, J.O.Y. provides growth and encouragement for
all.
We would love to
have you join us as we seek to be part of the answer to the problems that face
us each day. We are more than conquerors through Christ who loves is and gave
Himself for us. Caring, loving people are what you will find in the ministry of
Heritage Baptist Church’s Senior Adults.
Worship Ministry
The Worship Ministry of Heritage encourages you to
fulfill one of your life purposes intended by your Creator – to worship God
with all of your being, expressed in your daily life and shared with others
through worship events.
At Heritage, we provide life-changing and
life-enriching experiences of worship each Sunday morning and evening. The
content of our worship services is God-focused, because it truly is all about
Him. We utilize a variety of mediums to worship God and to communicate Biblical
Truth – video, music, drama, real-life stories and more. The musical style of
our worship services is a hybrid of songs representing the best of today and the
best of yesterday with a constant pursuit of the best of tomorrow. We believe
style is important as it relates to connecting the worshippers with God, but is
secondary to the content of our services, which centers our hearts and minds on
God and our personal relationship with Him.
All believers are connected with our Worship
Ministry, because all believers are to be worshipers of God. Beyond this fact,
many Christ-followers have identified their giftedness and passion to serve God
through our Worship Ministry Teams – Technical, Drama, Instrumental, Vocal and
